We’re looking for an Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our inbound sales team serving larger brands from our Vancouver office.
Role summary:
As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you'll be essential to our sales strategy by conducting outbound prospecting, qualifying inbound leads, and developing them into solid prospects for the Account Executive team. Your main responsibilities will include engaging with potential customers, evaluating opportunities, and setting up meetings. This role suits individuals with strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal abilities, and a keen interest in sales. There is a clear promotion path from BDR to Account Executive for this role (typically within 6-12 months)
You’ll need to confidently engage with various brands and businesses to understand their packaging needs and how to address them. Your role will involve building relationships and identifying new opportunities. Since our solutions are constantly advancing, a strong drive to stay updated and adapt to new developments is important.
Responsibilities:
Outbound Lead Generation: Develop and utilize outbound sales lists to initiate discovery meetings with target accounts.
Inbound Lead Qualification: Quickly respond to inquiries from our website or other sources. Interact with potential customers to evaluate their needs and determine if our products or services are a good match.
Lead Nurturing: Follow up with MQLs and SQLs to provide them with relevant information and address their queries in a timely manner.
Communication: Leverage email as the primary form of communication to initiate and build relationships with prospects. Craft compelling and personalized communication to articulate the value of our products/services.
Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the sales team to share lead insights, coordinate follow-ups, and ensure smooth handoff of qualified prospects.
CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions with leads in the CRM system.
Requirements:
0-2 years experience in an SDR/BDR or other sales focused role in a B2B environment with consistency in target attainment. Proven experience in sales development, lead qualification, or a related customer-facing role.
Excellent written communication skills, with a focus on crafting effective and engaging emails.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with potential customers.
Familiarity with CRM systems and the ability to manage lead data efficiently.
Goal-oriented with a drive to meet and exceed performance targets.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities and tasks; proven strong organizational skills
Adaptability to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
Experience in working cross functionally with other teams
High attention to detail
Experience in a high growth business
Bonus: Background or degree in graphics design, packaging, ecommerce or food and beverage operations.

Base Salary range of $40,000 - $45,000 per year and uncapped commission
